El nuevo producto XBee Gateway proporciona una red XBee de bajo costo con una solución IP, otorgando funcionalidades de configuración y administración remota de redes XBee a través de la nube. Por defecto, todos los datos XBee enviados a la puerta de entrada WAN están disponible de forma automática. Con un entorno sencillo, desarrollado en Python, este Gateway también permite aplicaciones personalizadas para funcionar a nivel local, mientras que la interconexión se realiza a través de Wi-Fi y la conexión Ethernet se conecta a la WAN para aplicaciones de software basadas en la nube.
XBee Gateway puede ser gestionado de forma remota a través de dispositivos de la nube. Permite a los usuarios gestionar de forma remota miles de dispositivos XBee en red y brindar comodidad al usuario como lo son las actualizaciones de firmware remotas y programación de alarmas de eventos.
